Bio – Filmography

Abanoub Youssef, an Egyptian screenwriter and film director born in Minya, holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Beni Suef University. Notable for his short films during his undergraduate years, he earned a scholarship nomination as an exchange cultural program between Egypt and Tunisia for a master’s degree in screenwriting and film directing at the Higher
School of Cinema and Audiovisual in Gammarth ESAC, Carthage University, Tunisia. Abanoub ranked first in his master’s degree program grads among his colleagues . He pursued a one-year bridge program in Anthropology and Philosophy of Arts at the Cairo Institute of Liberal Arts and Science CILAS. Abanoub has written and directed six short films in three different countries, receiving numerous local and international awards. Currently, he is working on his first feature screenplay, a co-production film project between Egypt and Tunisia.
