The Great Blue Within

In exile, time travel was nothing but a pretext… to return to a pain that never left the memory.

The film revolves around a conversation between a young Syrian man (X) and woman (Y), living in Germany. They discuss time travel and what they might do if it became possible. Their dialogue takes us deep into the girl’s inner world, exploring her past and the history of their relationship, gradually shifting the question to:
“What becomes of the future of our past?”
The film meditates on regret, longing, and identity—
ultimately becoming about not what was said, but rather everything left unsaid.
“The Great Blue Within” A film about those who’ve departed, in all ways departure can happen.
