Until Autumn Returns

On the border between two countries long shaped by conflict, 70-year-old Saleha sits with her family on a coffee farm she has nurtured for decades. A woman rooted in tradition and resilience, she has known war, patriarchy, and uncertainty her entire life.

Now, there’s a new challenge facing her: climate change. Saleha has been waiting two years for rain. Without it, the ground withers, the coffee plants suffer, and the future of her children and grandchildren remains in jeopardy. Yet she carries on steadfast, patient, and unwavering.

Then, finally, the rain soft drops descending like joy upon her dry skin. But when the clouds pass over, the question remains: what of tomorrow? The cycle of drought and hope starts again.
