Bio – Filmography

Born in 1999, Asma Laajimi is a Tunisian filmmaker and visual artist who works between Brussels and Tunis.
Her work is deeply rooted in her lived experience, exploring, and blurring the boundaries between the real and the fictional, the personal and the collective, the emotional and the political. Asma studied design at Essted Design School in Tunis, photography at Ensav La Cambre in Brussels and graduated with a master degree of filmmaking at Luca School of Arts in Belgium.
She has presented her video installations, films and photos in several festivals and exhibitions in Tunisia and elsewhere, including Gabes Cinema Fen Film Festival Tunisia, Confilmés Goethe Institut Tunis,  BPS22 Charleroi, Kiosk Gent …
